Acer Aspire One D270

Yes, Acer launched again an Intel Atom-based netbook, the Acer Aspire One D270. This netbook with higher performance than its predecessor. You even can play 1080p video. This can be achieved thanks to the use of the newest Intel Atom platform, Cedar Trail. VGA capabilities of this new platform were increased 2-fold compared to its predecessor. 

What is a Cedar Trail?

Cedar Trail is the newest Intel Atom platform. To facilitate the distinction of Cedar Trail from its predecessor, this platform uses the processor names with the prefix 'N' and followed by the number 2, followed by three other numbers. For example, the Acer Aspire One D270 we tested this time using Atom N2600 processor.

The increase in the Cedar Trail there are essentially two, namely the use of a smaller manufacturing process (down to 32 nm) and VGA upgrade to 2X faster.
